What is FluteSpell Gallery?

FluteSpell Gallery is a community space where I can share all types of art from my radio show to small artist exhibits. This art will be presented in a gallery format with many exhibits to explore. I want to treat this like an official art museum experience. Offering many different types of artwork and having frequent gallery updates. This is a space I aim to utilize as a way to highlight artists I love, and to share personal projects. Strengthening an artistic community who loves the aspects of collecting and learning.

So lets appreciate art together, here at Gallery FluteSpell

This is the last day of 2024. I've done a lot this year thanks to amazing people in my life inspring me to push myself and test my limits. And it has been really fun to go and make this little website on a whim 3 days before I started school in August. I feel like 2024 was just a build up to whats really going to start happening in 2025. There are so many oppertunites set up for me in this last year and all I can do is come into the new year swinging full of hope and ideas. Ive got great creative partners all around me and im so glad I can foster the relationships necessary to have this support. If you are unsure about where to go in this new year focus on the energy you put out. A late resolution of mine was to foster community and meet new people, which has really changed how I view my art and my actions in the world. In an ever detreimental electronic landscape the most we can do is make connections with the people around us, and interact in the real world. So thats my challenge for you. My challenge for myself is to stop using my smart phone. Im entering this new year with a flip phone and an MP3 player. I want to ground myself away from the algorithms and applications fighting for my life. And so far its been really pleasent. I hope you all have an amazing new year. Spend time with people you love, and I'll see you on the next Thrift Store Radio.

I have had a very wild November so far, and it will continue to be wild all the way until the very end. From finals ramping up in school to my best friend moving to Utah there is so much I have been processing and balancing. And I am very thankful for all of these things. I know what it is to live and to have so many things I care about be so prominent in my life. School is rough and I'm so glad I can finish it soon. I have learned so much there but its time for me to take a break and explore my options freely. I'm so greatful that today November twenty third I get to fly out to Texas and support my friend in a giant move as she travels from Texas to Utah. This is something I've been hoping for for a long time and I'm so glad I can support her in this. I have so many amazing things in my life and the fact that I can squeeze in this little radio show is so amazing. Thank you all for listening, and I'll be working on an Archive for the show next month hopefully so keep an eye out.

I've felt a lot this month. Off and on feelings and it all comes back to my art and wishing I had more time for it. I think after this semester I will stop going to college atleast for a little while. The summer was great and I want to chase that and the productivity I had for my art. I love this idea I have here with this website and I hope I can bring it to a more physical space, and actually finish coding it. I love the outlet it is and how fun of a project it has become. Im grateful for anyone who takes a look at my little website and my radio show. I put a lot of work into it and im really greatful. I love you, have a great rest of your week.

Im about a month into school now and I havn't had a whole lot of time to work on the website. Im slowly mapping out the gallery space I want to make, and a more fleshed out Thrift Store Radio Archive. Other than website stuff ive been doing lots of projects and school, aswell as attending more local band shows and community events in my area. There are lots of great bands here in Provo, and lots of great queer spaces too. If you havnt I highly reccomend getting out of your comfort zone and fining events near you, especially if you're queer, tapping into the local communtiy is a magical experience and its a great time! Im hoping to bring that sort of feeling here eventually, an online community space. Lets see where that ambition takes us lol.

Just finished the about page, and started work on a larger gallery space, working it into the navigation bar. I probably wont have it done for a while though. I want this gallery to be a really cool part of the website so I need to; #1 plan out the design and artwork of the gallery, and #2 figure out how to code it, because it is a little ambitious. Very excited for it though I think it will be a great addition.

Dropped off Thrift Store Radio August at the DI. Also found 20 more Jewel CD cases for $5 at the DI. This will be perfect for even more physical versions of the radio show. Always keeping my eye out for cheap material for projects LOL.

Im looking to do monthly exhibits of small artists eventually once I get a larger gallery space built. If you are interested in being featured for an exhibit reach out by email with some information about yourself and your art. Aswell as a link to your work via social media or a portfolio. There is no limit to the type of art that can be featured as long as it can be displayed digitally. I would love to work with you to make a gallery space for your artwork!
